A lovely spot in the heart of Martillac. The food is excellent, healthy, and high-quality. The setting is pleasant. The wine list features regional wines and offers a decent selection. One small drawback, but nothing serious, and some might say I'm nitpicking: I ordered an Irish Coffee to finish off this very good lunch. The establishment shouldn't put it on the menu if they don't know how to make it properly. It's not a big deal, but it needed to be mentioned, so skip this dessert option. Otherwise, we highly recommend it! Sandra and Yves (food critics)

We chose Le Pistou restaurant for our wedding and, unsurprisingly, we were delighted with their service (cocktails, main course, cheese course, and petit fours). The food was high-quality and absolutely delicious! The chef was very attentive to our needs, and the entire team, from the chef to the servers, was extremely professional. Our 90 adult guests were pleasantly surprised, and the 15 children thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Everything was perfect! We wholeheartedly recommend them for your events.

Lunch with a reservation for 4 people. Excellent value for money, generous and beautifully presented portions. A limited à la carte menu (a sign of quality) or a very appealing set menu of the day. Spacious dining room. However, the service was slow due to understaffing. But the service was pleasant. I enjoyed a very enjoyable glass of Pessac-Léognan. I recommend it.

A small restaurant just the way we like them. A simple and warm welcome, generous portions, and a relaxed atmosphere. You can taste the homemade quality and the pleasure of doing things well. A great place to eat in Martillac.

The best restaurant in the area everything was absolutely delicious and we had an incredible time. Les Sources de Caudalie are just nearby, which makes the place even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely come back

Arrived at 12:05 on a Monday. No reservation. I ordered a beef cheeseburger, fries, and salad. Served at 12:30, the wait for a burger was long. In short, mixed feelings about my meal. First, the burger itself did the job: good homemade bun, well-cooked steak, simple but effective. Then, the fries were undercooked. Finally, the salad lacked dressing, or perhaps had none at all. The service was slow to get going and hesitant. The price of €16 was reasonable. Classic decor, not many customers. Left at 12:45.

Perfect because it is close to the highway exit, about 4 minutes away, it is easy to park almost in front of the restaurant, they have a large dining room, the food is correct (from the menu) at a reasonable price, if you are in a hurry an hour and a quarter may be too much, it was not our case, if you can come back.

05/09/2026: Excellent restaurant, refined and creative cuisine, excellent value for money. Sumptuous setting. Only one drawback: the service. Even though we were in the "bistro" section of this iconic establishment, I would have preferred not to spend the entire meal with my glass and aperitif bottle on the (small) table 😊. Nevertheless, we will return because we are fans of the place and are neighbors!

29/07/2026: A good restaurant that deserves two stars despite the higher price point. The six-course vegetarian menu (€225) with fish is varied. The presentation of the artichoke (reconstructed) is a masterpiece and very good. The dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented, no complaints there. However, the wine pairing seems excessive for the price (€165) with four wines: a Krug champagne (very good), a decent white Anjou wine (but it's a Loire wine), the same for the Bordeaux white from a neighboring estate, and finally a red from the Laffitte estate, the Haut de Smith, which is acceptable. But at that price, a small glass (given the small size of the glass!) of the Haut Laffitte Grand Cru would have elevated the quality of these four wines. When signing the list of aperitifs, pairings, and wines not included on the bill, I noticed that I was being charged for water and coffee that were included in the stay! This somewhat spoiled the meal; a discussion among the staff seems necessary to avoid this inconvenience. The service was adequate, provided by very young but efficient staff. The table cleaning, done only once, needs improvement.
