The cassoulet didn't disappoint. The same goes for the cheese platter, although the waitress couldn't tell us which cheeses were included, but the staff seemed very busy. The €21.50 set menu was satisfactory; luckily I ordered a salad as a starter, as vegetables are often missing from plates, based on my experience in France...

Disappointing. Average cassoulet. The crispy duck breast with honey sauce was very poor; the meat was very tough. The gourmet salad starter was passable. The rosé wine was good.

Excellent experience at Le Plô restaurant! The servers and the owner were very friendly! Beautiful setting, very satisfying meal! (Note: The last sentence appears to be incomplete and possibly refers to a different restaurant.)

Great experience tonight after just looking up reviews and the menu! Our first courses were all fabulous. Blood sausage salad- yum! Baked Camembert! But the best was the chicken gizzard salad! Who knew gizzards could be so delectable! Our entrees includes a steak and a pork tenderloin- both great- but the stars of the night were a pork cheeks and a duck breast inside a pastry- exceptional! Nice to know that even in very touristy areas, the French still care very deeply about what they serve :)

We had a short weekend getaway with our group last weekend and enjoyed two meals at Le Plo. All the dishes we tried were good, but a special mention goes to the local specialty, their cassoulet, which is divine. A place to remember!

13/05/2026: Tourist trap??? Ordinary food. We ordered the €21 set menu; the gizzard salad was quite decent. The sirloin steak was served medium-rare, but when we told the waitress, she was surprised and said it was too late—she couldn't do anything. Even when we took our order, she didn't know how to use her computer. In short, very disappointed.
07/05/2026: Very nice food . Had the plate du jour. Good value, friendly staff who didn't laugh at my attempts to speak french. Would recommend.

25/05/2026: You have to try it... then you'll know and want to give it more than 5 stars.
24/05/2026: Excellent. Of the four cassoulets I tasted in Carcassonne, this was the best. The homemade panna cotta was the best I've ever had. Good wines from independent winemakers. The hippocras aperitif was also very good. And the service was top-notch: three very dynamic, competent, efficient, and friendly young waiters added to the appeal of this restaurant.
