Le Poivre D'Ane sur Aix-En-Provence

A real gem in Aix that deserves more attention than it gets. The food is excellent, but what stands out just as much is the warmth of the place. The owner and chef could not have been kinder. It feels personal, thoughtful, and far less tourist-driven than many better-known spots in town.

Spectacular location, excellent food, incredible atmosphere throughout Aix-en-Provence, and excellent service. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and very friendly service

Our best meal in town and one of our best in the region. Food is exceptional! Iberico wellington just melted in the mouth. They said it was cooked to perfection but I've never had pork this tender in my life. The taste and texture are insane. As the 3 course meal, I had ceviche and cheese cake as starter and dessert. They were plated really beautifully and tasted amazing too. The service was, of course, also incredible. The staffs were all attentive, careful, friendly and ensured we had a great time. Thank you so much. Honestly, I visited to quite a few Michelin star restaurants. They didn't blow my mind as much as Le Poivre d'Ane. This place truly deserves more recommendation.

The sea bass sashimi was perfect as an appetizer, and the grilled trout on the plate was the best grilled fish of my life. Yiddish Roman definitely deserves a Michelin star. For dessert, it was a reinterpretation of the Aix-en-Brest Callisson; the citron, melon, and almond flavors were excellent, and the pastry remained crisp and fluffy until the very last bite. It was the best meal I had during my month-long trip to France. The service was likely the best in France as well. It was a truly delightful dining experience. The meat dishes might be hit or miss for Koreans who tend to add a lot of sweetness to their food, but if you want to enjoy the natural flavor of the meat itself, there is nothing to criticize. For around 70 euros per person including drinks, this quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

A very warm welcome and excellent cuisine. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and the explanations were outstanding. The dishes were perfectly suited to the season. We had a wonderful time. We will be back soon.
