Le Pré Salé sur Le Mont-Saint-Michel

The location is unbeatable — right next to the free shuttle bus stop to Mont St. Michel and from Pontorson train station. It's also close to the Keolis bus stop if you're taking the train from Rennes. The rooms are clean and have adequate space. It’s also nice to have a water station at the end of the corridor where you can refill your bottle. Breakfast is very sad. It is better to buy a sandwich at the shop across the road. Dinner is also not worth having where you are — go eat at Mont Saint-Michel instead. The staff at the breakfast place are confusing. The person at the reception lets you find your own place, whilst another, who looks like a manager, demands — with a snap of the finger — that you sit at a designated area, rather than asking you politely.

There's really nothing bad to say here. The service was excellent, always helpful and friendly. The rooms were a good size and clean, the beds comfortable, and there was a refrigerator and shelves. The only downside is that the toilet is in a separate room and not integrated into the bathroom. It's a bit cramped. The location is fantastic; Mont Saint Michel is just a short walk away. Parking costs €10 per day for access to the entire grounds after the barrier. The hotel sends a code via SMS/email 1-3 days before arrival, which you can use to pass through the barrier. We treated ourselves to breakfast at the Mercure in the annex for €19. It was a good, plentiful breakfast buffet with friendly staff, but nothing particularly outstanding.

The hotel is very good! The location is excellent, with the bus stop for Mont Saint Michel practically right in front! The breakfast is excellent, with a lot of variety. But what really made the difference was the excellent service we received from the hotel staff, with special thanks for the kindness and dedication of the attendant Nöellie, who was at breakfast. She is exceptional at customer service. The reception staff also make an effort to serve us well, due to the language barrier (or lack thereof!). Just a heads-up: to enter the area where the hotel is located, you need to reach a gate where you must enter a code. This code is provided by the hotel itself. So, the hotel should send this code to the guest's email. But, when we arrived at this gate, we called the hotel and the employee immediately gave us the code and we entered without any problems. It's best to call the hotel BEFOREHAND and request this code, so as not to "block" entry to the area, because there are many cars trying to enter. Thank you very much for the stay!

Standard room, no surprises, but beware of the paid parking which is not advertised.

The hotel is very well located, and the rooms and bathroom are spacious. Given the high nightly rate, I would have appreciated bottled water, small samples, and other amenities. These little touches are much appreciated and can also justify the hotel's high price. The breakfast was very good with a good selection (a small suggestion: add fresh orange juice). I recommend the La Salicorne restaurant just across the street. I was surprised to have to pay €10 per day for parking; I hadn't seen it mentioned.

Enjoy your stay at the Mercure Hotel Mont-Saint-Michel. The location is very convenient, with the shuttle bus stopping right outside for easy access to the Mont. The parking is also a major advantage, allowing you to drive directly into the protected area. If you arrive early, you can park on-site and visit the Mont, leaving your luggage in the car while you wait to check in – very convenient. The reception is excellent, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are decent, comfortable, and meet expectations for this type of hotel. A practical option for fully enjoying your visit to Mont-Saint-Michel without any logistical hassles.

Ideally located for visiting Mont Saint-Michel, but parking is extra and not included in the hotel price. The service is just average, nothing more, nothing less. The rooms are clean.
