As all the other reviews mention, the main highlight here is the setting. Regarding the service, we would have preferred servers who actually wrote down our orders rather than making us repeat them several times before finally getting them wrong... The food was perfectly decent, offering very reasonable value for money. A lovely evening to end a day in the beautiful town of Sarlat.

The welcome was icy, we felt like we were bothering them. Dishes were served without explanation. Only one young waitress was even remotely friendly. A carafe of water cost €7.

What a wonderful treat this was! We have been in France for the better part of a month and have visited several Boulangeries and Pätisseries, Maison Lissajoux is by far the best eatery of them all. The atmosphere and service are wonderful, and the food is excellent! I had the Avacado toast from the fresh bread made on site by the bread and pastry chefs. The place gives a light, airy atmosphere and a good vibe. I will definitely be back if we return to Sarlat. Merci, John and staff for your wonderful hospitality!

07/12/2025: Once again, it was a treat for the taste buds, with attentive waiters and owner. A very good atmosphere and, as always, a very pleasant setting.
14/11/2025: The cassoulet wasn't hot, it wasn't browned, in short, very average. However, the ice cream and the waiter deserve a very good mention.

24/10/2025: Having already had lunch in this establishment in 1999, the former owner was a very good chef, we ate wonderfully well there at the time...we have just returned there 25 years later, the food is still excellent, the same setting and of course not the same staff...I enjoyed introducing this restaurant to my wife
19/10/2025: We went there for the weekend while strolling through Sarlat. The food is very good, high quality. The welcome is very warm. The local specialties are a delight.
