We booked under the name SERRANO today, we thoroughly enjoyed the homemade dishes 👍 and had a wonderful time with lots of laughs shared with the owner and the waiter! We will definitely be back as soon as we have the chance 😄 Thank you for your great atmosphere!

Visited in July. Beautiful location, on the old market square, next to Les Halles. Very warm welcome. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive; you immediately feel at ease. We ordered beef carpaccio for €19 with fries. Everything on the plate was very good (capers, salad, Parmesan, fries), except for the beef carpaccio, which had no flavor whatsoever and was clearly defrosted (judging by the white marks around the slices). We were offered an extra bowl of salad (well after our main courses arrived), which we enjoyed; it was fresh and well-seasoned. It's a shame about the tasteless meat because everything else was good and plentiful.

A small café-restaurant committed to social diversity and local businesses, offering decent food and a village atmosphere. Benoît, the owner, is a key figure in Castelnaudary.
