They are lovely. The food is more than edible and the prices are not indexed to the rising price of a barrel of oil.

We went there on a Thursday at lunchtime, just the two of us, without a reservation. We were quickly seated, and the set menu was €19.50 including a glass of wine and coffee. A two-course meal (starter and main or main and dessert) is €16, also including a glass of wine and coffee. There are also other dishes on the à la carte menu. No frills, just a relaxed, informal atmosphere. The owners are friendly, smiling, and in good spirits. I recommend it.

A wonderful discovery today! The team was fantastic, and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. The owner was very attentive to his customers. We ate very well, both the main courses and the desserts. If you haven't been, go without hesitation.

This restaurant was recommended to us, and it didn't disappoint. The cassoulet was spectacular, and the chocolate fondant was perfect. Excellent value for money. It's rare to eat badly in France. El Pais is extraordinary. The owner's service was phenomenal, and the waiter was so charming you could buy him an apartment. A real gem. We would definitely return. Highly recommended.
