Always good. A la carte menu for 40 euros is very reasonable. Good food and service with table overlooking the Rhône is an exceptional atmosphere. A good selection of wines makes it a to fine way to pass an evening. Make a reservation or you'll miss it.

Fantastic French specialties (fish, foie gras, apricot tart and sorbet, etc.), great service that also gives tips for activities in the area, local wines. Outdoor seating on a traffic-free street. A must-try!

An excellent restaurant run by Carole Chabran. The food and wine list is very varied. The cuisine is of a very high standard, offering gourmet quality at reasonable prices. There's a lovely view of the Rhône and the village of Tournon.

A wonderful discovery! We had a fantastic time at Le Quai restaurant in Tain-l’Hermitage. The dishes were absolutely delicious, everything was beautifully presented, and above all, the service was outstanding! A smiling, warm, and very pleasant team. We will definitely be back. The food was okay, but our main server was a disaster. We were the first guests of the evening, arriving at 7 p.m. just two minutes before the official opening time. From the very first interaction, our main server made it very clear that she was rather annoyed by our arrival. She assigned us a table with corresponding lack of enthusiasm – and unfortunately, this impression persisted throughout the entire evening. The service from our main server was sluggish, unfriendly, and inattentive. There was little sign of the hospitality and professionalism one would expect in a restaurant of this caliber. To be fair, however, it must be explicitly mentioned that we also dealt with three other servers throughout the evening – and they were all very friendly and courteous. Therefore, our criticism is clearly not directed at the service team as a whole. We were simply unlucky with the person primarily responsible for our table that evening. The food, on the other hand, was fine. For our main course, we had the flank steak from Angus beef. The meat itself was good, but we weren't quite sure what the kitchen was trying to convey with this dish. The flank steak and the homemade remoulade sauce simply didn't harmonize. The restaurant's true highlight is undoubtedly its stunning location: the view of the Rhône and the pedestrians strolling across the suspension bridge right next to the restaurant is truly magnificent. Perhaps our main server was just having an off day. That can happen. Nevertheless, the person who attends to a table all evening significantly influences the dining experience – and at an establishment of this caliber, one expects more. In short: beautiful location, decent food, and several very friendly staff members – but unfortunately, a main server who significantly marred our evening. Therefore, we feel 3 stars are appropriate.
