A lively and friendly place. The sauerkraut is very good and plentiful, with excellent value for money – a definite plus. The desserts are generous and well-executed. While not particularly refined, the desire to please the customer is evident. The service is very friendly and attentive. Overall, a lively restaurant with traditional and hearty cuisine. Located a little outside the main tourist area of ​​Colmar.

What I missed was the French cuisine for a lot of German inspired food

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful experience from beginning to end! The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming and very pleasant. But what really made the difference was the service, especially the lovely lady who served us. She was extremely friendly, attentive and professional. The service was simply outstanding! The food was delicious, the portions were great, and the prices were very reasonable. Everything was perfect, and we felt genuinely welcomed. Definitely a place I would recommend and happily visit again when I return to Colmar!

I arrived around 9:25 pm. There were still guests there, and they were eating. The first question, somewhat awkwardly phrased, was: food or drinks? You can tell how many tourists there are in Colmar. Since I only wanted a drink and a light meal, I was given a table. Otherwise, you're usually directed to the hotel bar. I opted for steak tartare and a cheese platter with a glass of wine. Both were delicious. The service became more approachable towards the end. Although I had forgotten my discount card as a guest of the Paul & Pia Hotel, I received the promised 15% discount after showing my room key. I found that generous and well-handled. This restaurant is located in the Grand Hotel Bristol; the Paul & Pia is a sister hotel 400 meters away.

A good place to eat. Large dining room, but not too noisy. The dishes are decent and quite generous. You won't leave hungry.

Good food but terrible service. If you don’t speak any French do not come here. You are apparently not welcome. The waitress insisted on speaking French to us even though we were obviously not native French speakers. (Which would’ve been fine had she been remotely friendly) As we know a little French we were able to understand her questions and place our orders. However, the waitress seemed very annoyed by the fact that our French wasn’t perfect. She did not appreciate at all that we were trying our very best to speak her language. (While she didn’t even say a single word in English even though she’s fluent in the language as we found out later on). She was much friendlier when serving the French guests around us. The food was pretty good, but depending on the staff you’ll have great difficulties getting it if you don’t know your basic French.

Traditional French restaurants space wise. Best service. Very good food. Fast service. The only thing that dispite posh interiors there very absolutely no atmosphere. No background music. Barman was sorting cutlery so noise from that was the only sound you can hear over all restaurant. If they posiition themself as dine restaurant There shoul be no glass washing and cuttlery sorting in the room.

Very good restaurant, very good service, the waiters and waitresses are very friendly.
