Le Rendez-vous de l'Abbaye sur Tournus

We had a wonderful time at Le Rendez-vous de l'Abbaye. The food and service were excellent, despite the restaurant being incredibly busy and only one person serving. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank her again for the warm welcome and her patience despite the numerous requests from all sides. Well done! Furthermore, the food was delicious. I highly recommend this establishment.

A true gem. Les Rendez-Vous de l'Abbaye is exactly what you come to Tournus for: a small restaurant with an authentic soul, where you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. The setting has that typical, genuine charm that can't be manufactured—a warm, intimate atmosphere that invites you to linger. It's a far cry from impersonal establishments: here, everything exudes care and conviviality. The food is excellent. Generous, beautifully presented dishes that showcase fine ingredients with true sensitivity. The kind of meal you'll be talking about long afterward, and that makes you want to come back just for that. But what makes all the difference is the staff—remarkably kind and attentive. You feel genuinely welcomed, never rushed, always well looked after. This human touch is what transforms a good meal into a truly special experience. Very welcoming bar/restaurant right outside the abbey.

We had a great meal and it was excellent value for money. The restaurant had a high chair and they even served my little one's meal first, which was really nice.

The set menu offered good value for money. The à la carte menu featured excellent pike-perch, but a bit pricey at €24 per liter. The desserts were unremarkable, and the dining room was tiny with very small tables. In short, a bit disappointing for the price, except for the set menu, which is a no-brainer.
