Le Resto sur Dijon

We made a reservation for Saturday at 6:15 pm (the evening of Ramadan). We called to confirm the time so we would have enough time to order and be served on time for breaking the fast. This was confirmed over the phone. However, upon arriving at 6:15 pm, the waiter sighed, saying we had come too "early." We explained that we weren't in a hurry and could wait if necessary. We ordered a charcuterie platter as a starter and main courses. The waiter asked if we wanted the platter before the main courses (which seemed logical since it's a starter). He then informed us that the main courses would take longer to arrive because the cooks were young. This is perfectly understandable, but in this case, it might be better to adjust the service schedule. Despite this, the food was very good, even excellent. On the other hand, the service was rather poor, and we considered leaving several times. This is not the first time we have come, but it is the first time we have received this kind of welcome.

Table of 11, fast service and very good and generous portions!!

We had a reservation for two at 8:45 pm. We were asked to wait (no tables available despite the reservation) for 5 minutes, which turned into 15. The waiters and staff were very friendly despite the rather slow service: we were finally served at 9:40 pm. As for the food, the dishes were fine except for the small portion of fries and a rather dry burger (perhaps lacking sauce?). For dessert, the tarte tatin was excellent, but the tiramisu was 90% cream/mousse, which, while delicious, lacked any crunch or texture. Finally, the atmosphere was very noisy with loud music that was barely audible due to the tightly packed tables (offering no privacy and allowing you to hear all the conversations at neighboring tables). For your information, our bill came to €54 for two: two main courses and two desserts.

Lovely restaurant offering some nice vegetarian options (rare for french restaurant). And some dishes could be made vegetarian easy on request. Waiter very friendly and professional. Large choice of dessert too . All at reasonable prices
