Great local atmosphere. The owner, Amandine, is incredibly kind and does everything to make you feel welcome. Excellent value for money considering the atmosphere there.

A taste of Christmas on our plates.
When the restaurant changed ownership a few years ago, we weren't initially convinced by the idea of charcuterie and tapas platters at Le Russel. But seeing today's menu, we decided to give the restaurant another chance.
It was during this cold, festive season that we thoroughly enjoyed this comforting lunch. A truly delicious foie gras crème brûlée and a guinea fowl supreme with chestnuts or chive cream and homemade fries worthy of a Sunday lunch. Le Russel managed to delight us for a bill of €58 for two (drinks/coffee included).
If Le Russel maintains this new approach, it's quite possible we'll return for another delicious meal on our next visit to Carteret.
