Another Berthaut menu, no surprises, very generous portions, good salad and tartiflette, a very tender rare ribeye steak, a very good Berthaut platter, and homemade Chantilly cream... 🤤 A nice drinks menu too.

We received a very warm welcome.

We just discovered this restaurant and it was a wonderful experience!
The staff is absolutely lovely: welcoming, smiling, and above all, very helpful with our menu choices.
We opted for local specialties, including dishes featuring Époisses cheese and Burgundy wines (you have to like wine!). A real treat for lovers of regional products, it's easy to be won over by the chef's suggested pairings. The atmosphere is relaxed and restful. Despite being full, the restaurant remains surprisingly calm and pleasant, allowing you to fully enjoy the experience. The tables are quite close together, but this creates a convivial atmosphere and even offers the opportunity to chat with your neighbors. In short, a warm and welcoming place where you feel comfortable and can savor the richness of Burgundy. We highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return. Thank you for the rose you gave us on Valentine's Day, especially since you hadn't thought of it.

Fantastic experience! The food was excellent, we ate very well and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I highly recommend the chef's tiramisu – it was amazing!!

Fantastic!
Most customers come to taste wines with a local meal (Époisses cheese). I was taking a break from my travels, so I opted for the set menu (chef's menu) without alcohol. Everything was delicious. Well done on this complete and local menu for under €20.

We opted for the full menu for €30.
It wasn't bad, but not incredible either.
I'd never tried Époisse cheese before, and I really enjoyed it in the mini tartiflette.
However, it didn't go well with the rib-eye steak; I felt like the meat had been soaked in butter.
Finally, the dessert was really cold (a crème caramel because I ran out of babaaurhum, yes, crunchy chocolate). Yes, it's basically cold, but this one was just too cold. So I could philosophize about what's cold enough and what's too cold... This one was just too cold.
In short, added to the passable decor and the halfway convincing service...

A menu featuring regional specialties. Very good dishes and friendly service. We discovered Semur-en-Auxois and will return for a longer stay, and will gladly return to the Saint-Vernier.
