Le Sauvage Hotel & Restaurant sur Tournus

22/10/2024: Belle salle de restaurant contemporaine. Table en bois avec set de table ce qui apporte une ambiance simple et décontracté. Nous avions le menu en 8 services. Excellents plats aux saveurs percutantes et quels magnifiques dressages. Tout est coupé avec précision et dressé à la perfection. Service sobre et efficace.

19/09/2024: We shared a dinner with 3 people choosing the 6-course menu. Overall our experience was very good, the setting of the room is very beautiful, the work of the chef and his brigade is truly top-notch with surprising dish pairings and we had a wonderful culinary journey! Note, but it's personal, we are not fans of "surprise" menus which have been very common for several years, not allowing us to anticipate tasting the chosen dish, especially since a large number of dishes follow one another. We did not appreciate the sommelier abandoning our table when choosing the second wine, in this case the red! Replaced by 1 of the servers. Amazing! In the flow of the meal, there was a fairly long wait when the beef (magnificent dish) was served, which disrupted the dynamics of the dinner. The occasion of 1 anniversary of our dinner gave rise to 1 special attention for the very nice guest, downside the waiter had the wrong guest! Finally, such a personal touch I don't like the waiter's announcement at the time of cheese with a supplement of 15€. I consider this to be a mistake in taste, not all guests have to know this price again, especially guests knowing that it is indicated in the menu. The time spent remains very pleasant, we didn't see the chef to congratulate him or exchange a word, doesn't he do that? Our visit will require returning to get a better opinion.
