30/03/2024: I have been going to this bakery since it opened and I have never been disappointed 😊
The owners and their staff are always friendly and smiling, the bread made with ancient flour is a real treat, in fact I only take these breads, if there are any left... The chocolatines are also worth the detour 😃.
A good address where you can come with complete confidence
And since I tasted their brioche (super tender and lightly flavored) I can't resist the pleasure of having some and even reserving some to be sure to have some in the evening...
05/03/2024: I am not going to repeat my tirade about how lucky we are in Toulouse when it comes to quality bakeries (see reviews of Maison Monredon for that), but it is clear that the CREDO Bakery, although relatively recent, is clearly one of the high-flying bakers from the pink city.
The breads, whether we are talking about classics or specials, are all of high quality.
The pastries are very good (and very beautiful, which doesn't spoil anything!).
The “delicacies” (cookies, “rechute”, finger madeleines, etc.) are excellent.
As for pastries, the section is beautiful, but not having tasted it, I can't say anything about it.
A word about their lunch preparations (sandwiches). Few bakeries make as much effort for this type of service. The recipes, always researched and worked on, evolve over the months. The products used are of high quality (ham on the bone which is a change from supermarket Herta, French chicken which does not come from intensive nugget farming, quality beef, etc.), the bread is always excellent, in short. a real “cooked” premium proposition at a price that remains affordable.
In short, superb bakery to recommend with your eyes closed!
Updated March 5, 2024:
Working nearby, I have been going to Crédo almost every day for 4 years to get lunch.
Today, as usual, I go there to have my meal. My card doesn't work. After several tries still nothing. I was asked to go and withdraw from the bank next door. I use 2 nearby banks, it doesn't work either (I learned later that it was because of a national bug at BNP).
I come back to Crédo a little annoyed and I explain that nothing is working today, that either they are nice and they can give me a little credit for the sandwich package that I will come and pay for the next day, or oh well, too bad, I just couldn't eat today.
They told me “Sorry, we don’t give credit, that’s the rule”.
The quality of the products is always at the top, but I am revising my rating to highlight my disappointment in the face of such a lack of business sense.
