I had a wonderful time at this Estaminet. The Welsh Royal was absolutely delicious and plentiful, and the service was very friendly. I highly recommend it!

Authentic and decidedly classic Northern French cuisine! For my starter, I had bone marrow with a beer. It was a first for me, a very pleasant surprise, absolutely delicious! It paired perfectly with the beer. Served piping hot, it was perfect. For my main course, the Welsh Royal was equally excellent. The richness of the cheese, combined with the beer-soaked bread at the bottom of the dish, works wonderfully. A place I will gladly return to many times!

Brasserie Andre

19/07/2026: A historic brasserie in Old Lille—they even sell a book commemorating its 100th anniversary at the entrance. The pros and cons of this kind of place. Superb decor. Waiters who perform with a smile. The food is a bit pricey, especially the wines, but it's good, featuring classic northern dishes: shrimp croquettes, Welsh rarebit with fries, and crêpes flambéed with Grand Marnier tableside. Touristy but good. That's what you come for.
