I went for the cassoulet and really enjoyed. Not the best, yet pretty delicious. Fries on my son’s croque monsieur were a bit rubbery, but the sandwich itself and also the burger were wolfed and enjoyed. Essentially decent french cafe fare.
Service was ‘very French’ but pretty quick.
This is great for ambience and absorbing a bustling lunchtime buzz!
I’d come with my family again.

Très belle découverte. Nous avons été très vite pros en charge malgré le monde au restaurant. Les portions sont généreuses et bon rapport qualité prix. Nous reviendrons.
Ended up on the terrace of Le Trouvere during a walk through beautiful Carcassonne. Nice place, great food. Unfortunately, the toilet was not fresh and the man behind the counter was very disinterested. Shame.
The fries were too fried, too much oil, the croque monsieur was average nothing spectacular, the edges a little burnt. For the price it seems a bit bad value/money to me. (They really need to improve their fries).
Perfect place to have an original meal of local food. Sympathetic team, nice decoration. I'm on tour with a band and it's the best meal I had for more than one month!
