I was glad to make a reservation as a solo diner, as the restaurant is deservedly popular for the food quality and value. Several parties without reservations were happily accommodated nonetheless by the genial and efficient staff. The menu is traditional, with about four entrees. As there were several tables with solo diners, I think the (good) wine-by-the-glass offerings could be expanded to include a few special/higher-priced wines. A pleasant meal and atmosphere, and I plan to return!

A meal with old friends exploring Tours.
We were won over by Le Turon. From the welcome at our table to the service and the dishes themselves, it was a truly excellent experience.
For me, the meat was exquisite and of superb quality: one of the best cuts I've tasted this year.
Delicious little croquettes for an aperitif. A divine pâté en croûte (I prefer the crust a little more cooked, but I thoroughly enjoyed it).
A convivial atmosphere in the vaulted cellar.
A place I highly recommend. Bravo!

The restaurant's website featured a lovely dining room, which had initially influenced our choice. Unfortunately, we were seated in a colder, very noisy stone cellar (a vaulted cellar with many people, which amplified the sound). The food, while good and with appealing recipes, was unfortunately served quite cold to our table: not ideal for appreciating the flavors. We were grateful to the chef for a small gesture of goodwill, offering us four complimentary coffees (the total bill for the table was €240). It was a small gesture, but still appreciated.
