Le Turon sur Tours

We were delighted by the warm welcome and attentive service from the waitresses. The service was very quick and efficient. The food is excellent. The cod loin with mogette beans and chorizo ​​sauce was a real treat. A must-try restaurant in Tours.

Excellent restaurant in terms of food and service

During our stay in Tours, we dined at Le Turon, a restaurant located in the cathedral quarter. The dining room boasts a lovely regional-inspired decor, and the atmosphere remains convivial despite the crowds. The menu is varied, with an original selection of meat and fish dishes. We chose the Tahitian-style swordfish ceviche as a starter, followed by the lamb shoulder with dauphinoise potatoes. It was truly delicious. The dishes were beautifully presented, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The service was attentive throughout the meal, with excellent wine recommendations. This is an excellent restaurant, with refined cuisine and reasonable prices for the quality offered. The establishment is renowned and always full, so it is essential to reserve a table in advance.

Superb restaurant with a beautiful vaulted cellar, a welcome respite during this heatwave. Excellent meal, efficient and friendly service. We will definitely return.

A lovely place, tastefully decorated. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The food is delicious. If I were to return to this city, I would definitely come back. ❤️

Booked last minute on the day of. So glad I did as we witnessed many people being turned away who didn't have reservations. Main floor of restaurant seats 34 & outdoor seats 8. There is a basement which may be good for large groups but some without reservations weren't interested once they took a look. Staff were very friendly, speak good English & were busy working as a team to service the customers. Had the smoked ham croquettes which were on the daily specials board. Then had the cod from the everyday menu. Both were excellently prepared. Even the amuse bouche was a delicious tune pâté. Washed it all down with a nice glass of blanc de blanc champagne.

Very good, quite busy that evening which slowed down the service a bit (I think I heard there was a large table in the basement). Apart from that, a great find and good value for money.
