It's hard to talk about atmosphere in a small town like Port-en-Bessin, deserted in the middle of January! There were only four of us at the restaurant, yet the welcome was warm and the food fantastic! Even if the decor is a bit kitschy, the portions are beautiful and generous! Thank you so much!

Passing through this Monday... a great little restaurant, the only one open on Mondays in Port-en-Bessin serving scallops. The owner is very friendly, I highly recommend it.

Even though you can find excellent food everywhere in this small town, this particular restaurant stands out. The dishes are fresh and deliciously prepared. You can flexibly customize the menus to suit everyone. The owner is very friendly and attentive to each guest. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent meal for four as a family. The dishes were perfect, balanced, tasty, well-presented, and quite generous. The very fresh products were prepared according to the rules of the art, and the cooking was ideal. From starters to desserts, we had a great time. We particularly enjoyed the Tarte Tatin and the crème brûlée with salted butter caramel. The welcome was excellent, and the person who served us was charming, smiling, and very professional. It is advisable to book in advance as the number of tables is limited, but this establishment is definitely worth the detour.

It was delicious, and the staff was very friendly! A very good restaurant for the price. Everything is fresh and homemade, and there's plenty of seating. Definitely a restaurant I recommend!

I highly recommend this restaurant! We ordered a seafood platter for two, a crab each, something we've never seen before, and it was incredibly fresh. The atmosphere and setting are warm and friendly, and the value for money is excellent! We were even allowed to take our leftover platters away. I'll be back!

Hotel-Restaurant la Marine

06/12/2025: The hotel is perfectly fine on the seafront. However, the €19 breakfast is a big NO!!! We went to have one at the port for half the price. The restaurant is far too expensive and of mediocre quality. To elaborate on your response, we specifically mentioned that the quality wasn't up to par, and as for the refined atmosphere, we were seated at a table of about twelve people, including children (no problem), one of whom was running around shouting, without your staff intervening to restore calm to the room for the sake of the other 40 guests. A shame, in our opinion, because the service itself was very good.
29/11/2025: Restaurant only. We came by chance because not much was open in the area at the end of November, and it was a very pleasant surprise. A very warm, courteous, and refined welcome. A beautiful dining room. A very pleasant welcome. A very professional waiter. And the meal... excellent. The service was just right—neither too fast nor too slow, simply efficient, even though the restaurant was almost full. High-quality ingredients. Delicious oysters. The scallops in risotto were to die for. Excellent wine. We will return if we are ever in the area again.
