A very pleasant place in a beautiful setting near the base. The staff is very welcoming. The dishes are original and can be accompanied by a scoop of ice cream (80 flavors in total). Worth trying if you're in the area.

A fantastic discovery: a restaurant concept centered around ice cream.
The cocktails are made with ice cream, and the open-faced sandwiches or salads are served with ice cream in original flavors (cheese, spices, garden herbs, or something else entirely). I opted for an open-faced sandwich with a scoop of Roquefort cheese—a delight to try if you're ever in Nérac! Absolutely top-notch!

This is a restaurant that you need to visit at least once in your lifetime for a dinner, for this once is probably enough. Reservations a must during peak times.
The unique pairing of savoury ice creams paired to the main courses feels strange and should be off putting, but in reality the meals come together perfectly and you have to try it to understand. I had the confit duck tartin with mustard ice cream aside and it was very well cooked and pleasant.
The only downside to this place is that at its root there is only really 2 main options, Tartin or Salad. Then there are about 10-12 variants to be applied. Some are slightly odd. Some typically french and then other like italian bolognese. For visitors it would be good to have some more "french" or local classics. The Tartin is basically a very large slice of sourdough toast, with layers of thinly sliced potato and then your topping of choice. Mine was duck with some red onion chutney and a side salad.
The location is perfect, the large terrace is next to the River Baïse...... making it a decent spot at lunch and also a decent mid-afternoon spot to drink a cold beer, take an icecream and watch the world and the river go by.

It was lovely to have lunch on the terrace overlooking the Baïse River. The salads were accompanied by a very original and delicious scoop of ice cream. The Medici Salad: Grilled and marinated Mediterranean vegetables, pasta, cured ham, dry sheep's cheese, olives, garlic, mixed greens, and balsamic vinegar, served with a delicious chili-pepper ice cream 😋

Honestly, if you're ever in Nérac, stop by this restaurant! We're not necessarily used to eating open-faced sandwiches, but they make them very well. And above all, step out of your comfort zone and dare to try the ice creams with savory flavors: foie gras, porcini mushroom, tomato and basil… all as surprising as they are delicious!
Add to that a kind, smiling, and very welcoming staff, and you'll have a very pleasant stop! We came with our three wiggling children, and yet the staff were very patient!
