It's nothing like it used to be, both in terms of the quality of the food and the service. I highly recommend it.
26/06/2026: It's wonderful to know that good places like LA ROMA still exist. The staff always have a joke to tell while remaining very professional. Excellent value for money. They also offer wine recommendations. As for the chef, he does his job very well. If you're looking for a good restaurant in Nérac, then you've found it!

13/06/2026: For our grandson's birthday, we came to have lunch on the terrace. Everything was good, but unfortunately, the loud music from the neighboring bar ruined our peace and quiet. We won't be back, and if you like peace and quiet, this isn't the right place, even though it's not their fault...

27/04/2026: I ate there Saturday night with two friends and we all agreed: the pizzas were disgusting, the crust was hard, and the tomato sauce was really awful. I strongly advise against going.

Le Moulin des Saveurs

16/05/2026: A wonderful discovery at Moulin des Saveurs in Barbaste. The place is full of charm, with its cave-like dining room located directly opposite the Moulin des Tours.
Chef Sébastien Gilbert's cuisine is masterful from start to finish: excellent pan-seared foie gras, very fresh tuna tataki, perfectly seared prawns, and incredibly tender lamb. The meal ended beautifully with cheeses and a lovely pineapple-based dessert. Special mention goes to the excellent wine pairing recommendations.
The staff is attentive, and the value for money is truly exceptional for the complete menu with wines. This is a must-visit in the region, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Service was just okay.
Owner was understanding.
Remarks from the cook:
hurtful and disrespectful.
Clear lack of professionalism and realism.
Excessive bill for 3 people: over €135.
I've been several times with other people today, and it was the worst experience—losing 3 customers.

25/05/2026: It’s funny to see tourists commenting in detail about the food and the atmosphere when us locals all know this was the dive to come and get shit faced on 5€ mojitos, in our early twenties. Enjoy!

26/03/2026: The quality has dropped a bit this year. We eat sushi quite often, almost always for takeout, and lately the rolls have been coming apart; they could definitely update that. The service is good.

01/12/2025: What a lovely welcome! It felt like being in a nightclub smoking room, with the owner filling the whole place with cigarette smoke.
As for the pizzas, they were a real insult to Italian cuisine. I've eaten a lot of pizza in my life, and this one was by far the most awful... no fresh ingredients whatsoever, and pizzas that didn't even taste like pizzas... how is that possible?
I was lucky enough to open my mouth to a hair on the first slice I picked up.
And the hygiene... Good heavens!

22/10/2025: A lovely little restaurant along the river. Food was excellent. Couple that run the restaurant where lovely and where knowledgeable regarding my wife’s need for gluten free food. Highly recommend!
07/10/2025: What a pleasant surprise this last-minute meal was! Excellent value for money for this type of restaurant. The walnut gnocchi, the roasted Camembert, and the apple crumbles were all delicious. Enjoyed on the sunny terrace. Perfect!
