After being turned away from several restaurants in Nérac that were far from full, what a relief to stumble upon this place! We were a group of eight, arrived at 1:30 pm, and were greeted with exceptional kindness. The owner managed both the dining room and the kitchen single-handedly, and everything was perfectly organized. The cuisine is refined, and the prices are very reasonable. Finally, a restaurateur who truly deserves recognition for his professionalism and hospitality. I highly recommend it!

11/09/2026: The relatively traditional menu and the crowds led us to the Flying Squadron... if it's busy, it must be good, I usually think... but surprise! The lemonade was flat and didn't arrive in a bottle... then the ribeye steak with polenta (the most expensive dish on the menu) arrived cold and raw. Moreover, the cut was of mediocre quality. Luckily, the andouillettes were good. Oh! We had to wait until dessert for the carafe of water to appear... well... passable... except for the view of the castle facade, of course!

The meal was superb, made with high-quality ingredients. The location is magnificent, right on the water.
18/09/2026: Very disappointing, a real disgrace to French cuisine. It's nothing more than a collection of ingredients. Sometimes the dishes aren't even cooked (like the potatoes), and sometimes they're simply heated up and have spilled out of their packaging (like the duck confit). Don't waste your time; you'll find better in Nérac.

26/03/2026: The quality has dropped a bit this year. We eat sushi quite often, almost always for takeout, and lately the rolls have been coming apart; they could definitely update that. The service is good.

07/10/2025: What a pleasant surprise this last-minute meal was! Excellent value for money for this type of restaurant. The walnut gnocchi, the roasted Camembert, and the apple crumbles were all delicious. Enjoyed on the sunny terrace. Perfect!
