Spectacular! The flavors in the food were enhanced to the maximum. The staff were outstanding. 10 out of 10!

Good evening, I'm sorry to say my opinion is rather average. The owner isn't very welcoming and tends to avoid eye contact when you try to speak to him... which, thankfully, isn't the case with his wife. I went there with my aunt and found it noisy (perhaps because of the table near us). €20 for the set menu seems quite expensive to me (we're in Sainte-Foy-la-Grande). The starter consisted of three small pieces of stuffed ham (nothing special), the veal wasn't particularly good, and it was served in a bowl (absolutely impractical for cutting). The dessert, however, was very good. I might go back to avoid being disappointed and try the rest of the menu. Sincerely

The restaurant is very nice, with a warm atmosphere. We had a very good meal. The service was efficient and friendly. I recommend this restaurant.

1. Sainte-Foy-la-Grande is a large town on the Dordogne with a few restaurants. The town lacks any allure; in fact, the town needs something more, but that's being worked on. 2. Ambience & First Impression After five or six, we had dinner at Hugo's. The surroundings look neat but offer little in the way of ambiance or atmosphere. Hugo comes out on top in our opinion. 3. Service & Staff The service was correct, but nothing special. 4. Product / Food & Drink / Room Many restaurants could have stepped straight out of a brochure: all the same. The food was more than adequate; a decent burger for reasonable prices. 5. Value for Money Reasonable prices for what you get; not overly cheap or expensive. 6. Special Features No noteworthy extras. 7. Final Conclusion A decent but not very atmospheric dining experience; fine for a quick bite, not for a special night out.

Really excellent lunch menu and so affordable, I repeated this place 3 times during my holiday!

Excellently informed before our arrival about the services available at the hotel and restaurant, very good quality of fresh products on the menu up to the market menu..., undeniably excellent value for money 😃 obviously top welcome, thank you Christelle and Olivier and to the whole close-knit team... we will be back!

Lunch this afternoon at Victor Hugo. Efficient and friendly service. Very good daily menu, with club salad, duck breast, and Italian dessert. Homemade cuisine and fresh produce. You can go home with your eyes closed.

The Hotel-Restaurant Le Victor Hugo is always top-notch! We come again and again because everything is perfect. Quality cuisine! Which isn't the case at everyone's place. Next visit: I absolutely want to try the prime rib!
