Today we were at the restaurant Le Vieux Beffroi (Béthune, Pas-de-Calais). The service, like the food, was excellent. I've attached a photo of the "Coq à la bière" dish, as well as the restaurant's menu.

What a fantastic lunchtime! 😉 Thank you to Frédéric for his truly warm welcome and kindness. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from start to finish; the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. 😊 A wonderful place where you feel right at home. I highly recommend it! We come here regularly, but tonight we were disappointed. We had a drink on the terrace, served by a very nice lady. Then we ordered another beer, this time from a gentleman. When he came to serve us the beer, we asked him if he could add another drink for our son, and he made it very clear to us by sighing that he was annoyed. We were shocked!

We had lunch as a family today, everything was delicious, perfectly cooked. I had the tuna tartare, fresh fish, very well seasoned. The service was quick and the atmosphere is always pleasant and welcoming. I highly recommend it.

11/05/2026: Very warm welcome, pleasant and smiling staff. We ate well. Good value for money.
09/05/2026: The woman who took our order was very friendly, and the food and drinks were delicious—no complaints there. It's a shame, however, that the establishment didn't bother to ask the gentleman who had been talking loudly on speakerphone for over an hour, while chain-smoking, to show a little respect. Ensuring customer comfort is also part of service. This ruined our meal, as well as that of the next table who were also complaining, and drove away a couple of other customers.

15/03/2026: The meal was very good. We had booked for Sunday lunch. The service was very friendly. The only downside was that only the à la carte dishes were available. I would have liked to try the miner's dish on the menu. All the ingredients are fresh and the dishes are homemade. Next time I'll ask about the menu options by calling ahead.
15/03/2026: Arrived at 12:30 PM. Limited menu, baked eggs for starters or charcuterie boards. No bone marrow, no Maroilles brioche. No Karmelitt beer. Bavette steak with an inedible portion. Excellent roasted Camembert. Well-cooked fries. Friendly welcome; the waitress was sorry about these issues.
