Le Vieux Castillon sur Castillon-Du-Gard

Magnificent place but disappointed by the meal around the swimming pool, defective equipment in the room but quickly changed and I was confused with a wine delivery man.....

We came to eat something in the restaurant. What a pleasant experience. Beautiful setting, delicious food, wonderful service. We were always given an explanation of what was on our plate with a smile. Very good choice of matching wines.

Pleasant staff, magnificent setting in the old stones of Castillon.

A technical architectural feat, the hotel was born from the merger of 17 small houses in the town. Excellent comfort, magnificent swimming pool, great breakfast, service a little young (lots of interns) but very kind and attentive.

4 star hotel but which suffers from the lack of experience of certain members of the staff. In fact it's very variable so sometimes it's great and sometimes it's not so great! The rooms are correct and rather clean, both in terms of hygiene and in terms of decoration, the spa is not bad without being incredible (the hot tub was available but not the hammam... too bad). Some rooms face directly onto the alley so they are subject to noise. The doors are not very well soundproofed. If you come by car (which should be the case given the location of the hotel), there is a car park 500 m away (public) and a little further the hotel car park... c It's a little far away but the hotel being in the center of the village should be taken into account. We did not go to the restaurant so it is not possible to judge the quality of it.

Restaurant is lovely, great atmosphere, but be warned- a pint of beer costs €14!!

Incredibly quaint, Beautifully decorated hotel with fabulous attention to detail. The rooms were very well air conditioned as it was exceptionally hot when we were there. Staff are excellent and the food was delicious. We will be back

Beautiful setting and creative, delicious cuisine

Hotel full of charm and high standard. The service is impeccable, the staff are welcoming and warm. The setting is very peaceful, we loved taking advantage of all the places to relax that the hotel offers and especially the swimming pool with a view. It is even possible to take advantage of it once you have checked out, which is very nice. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet. I recommend this hotel with my eyes closed, ideal for recharging my batteries or for a romantic getaway. We will definitely come back !

A very beautiful discovery, in a magnificently restored village. A haven of peace, very efficient staff, a place to discover as a couple or family.
