The setting is sublime! With a view of the castle and right on the lake, this restaurant has an ideal location in the heart of Pierrefonds! As for the service, the welcome was rather cold and slow on this Sunday evening, despite the few customers. The dishes are good but nothing extraordinary: too greasy, too salty, and not particularly fresh. The setting saves the day!

We came for lunch; it wasn't too crowded and the atmosphere was very pleasant with a beautiful view of the village and the castle. It's worth noting that there's only outdoor seating. We ordered Strasbourg sausages (€8.50) and a burger (€18.50). We ate very well, and the staff were friendly. It had a bit of a beachside restaurant feel; it was really lovely, I recommend it!

The setting is very pleasant and inviting by the water. However, the quality of the food doesn't justify the price (for example, the Caesar salad is overpriced for its low quality: dry cheese, an excessive amount of lettuce, and tasteless, roughly chopped tomatoes). They could do better.

A superb place. It feels like a vacation. A very warm welcome. Excellent cuisine. Exceptional setting with views of the lake and the castle. In the evening, illuminated fountains on the lake add to the beauty of the place.

21/03/2026: Dining at the Castle Restaurant was truly a wonderful experience. The atmosphere already sets the tone, but what really made the evening memorable was the exceptional quality of service. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout the entire meal. Their attention to detail and willingness to ensure everything was perfect made the experience feel very special. The food was equally impressive. The croustillant de bœuf and the croustillant d’agneau were absolutely outstanding,beautifully prepared, perfectly balanced in flavor, and cooked to perfection. Every bite reflected the care and craftsmanship of the kitchen. Overall, a fantastic dining experience combining excellent service and remarkable cuisine. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined and memorable meal.
