Lunel's most iconic restaurant! An incredible atmosphere! Superb cuisine! And an unparalleled wine selection!

The food was decent, but be aware that not all customers like the special seasonings. A fresh coat of paint and a general update would be nice. The music was a bit loud, especially when the restaurant was empty.

We had a wonderful lunch in Lunel at the L'Entracte restaurant. A good choice, this restaurant was chosen because it's open on Sundays... and because of its proximity to the Notre Dame du Lac Church and the Tourist Office. Situated in a charming little square, this isn't just any ordinary establishment, lacking in flavor and aroma!!! This is evident, first and foremost, from the people who run it... Denis, the owner with a strong personality (don't let his humor put you off!!!), who is still serving at 75 years old despite various bouts of rheumatism, and Jesus, the talented cook, a nurse by profession and Cuban by birth, who spent a few years in Italy, a veritable fountain of knowledge on the history of the town of Lunel, who must know much more than the average Lunel resident!!! We chatted a lot with both of them after the meal. As for the food, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. For Monsieur: the Menu Le Retour du Marché (Let's Return from the Market) €19.50 with mildly spiced beef. For Madame, the à la carte menu: Scallop Tartare (Scallops, avocado, mango, shallot, orange, lemon, spices) €26.00 French toast with vanilla ice cream €10.00 And a small starter that was "imposed" on everyone (on Sunday, September 21st, quinoa salad, squash, coriander, soy sauce, and honey). Both dishes were accompanied by delicious fragrant rice (and I'm not a big rice person...) with kaffir lime, among other things. The setting is also anything but ordinary and common, centered around the show (we're at the Entracte, don't forget that!!!), and in particular the opera. Lots of photos of shows (some of them shocking in the bathroom!!!) of course, little quotes on pebbles (among others, one that made me laugh on a pebble with a very appropriate shape: "Sex is the lightest thing, a simple thought lifts it." Frédéric Dard and the one on the counter that rewrites the history of the world with a "If Adam were..." but also just behind the counter a rosary and in a small stone niche a Saint Pancrace. A lovely discovery in this town of Lunel and it's not certain that we don't sometimes make a small detour on our way back from Montpellier to return to L'Entracte even without a show!!!

Our evening in Lunel began with the best possible omens in this friendly and welcoming restaurant. The owner is very attentive to customer satisfaction through the quality of the food and the selection of wines. We really enjoyed it.
