L'Entracte sur Le Grand-Bornand

For the past four summers, we've been coming to Le Grand Bornand-le Chinaillon, and each time we visit Le Dérapage, several times during our stay, and we're never disappointed! A cozy and elegant restaurant, with a lively bar next door. Live concerts are regularly held on the terrace, making summer evenings truly magical. It's a family-run establishment, evident in its warm welcome and impeccable service, as well as its cuisine. Indeed, the menu offers—in addition to dishes made with quality local products—dishes from Italy, the country of origin of the owners. Classic dishes (Savoyard fondue, tartiflette, etc.) and original creations (Nduja risotto with prawns: an explosion of flavor!), all perfectly prepared, generous, and delicious. Not to mention the refined and flavorful homemade desserts; we opted for an Affogato al Caffè, drizzled with amaretto: the perfect ending to an excellent meal. Whether for an intimate dinner with gourmet dishes or for a relaxed drink accompanied by platters, Dérapage is an unmissable address to spend a pleasant time with family and/or friends.

We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The food was very well prepared (we chose tartiflette and risotto) and the service was very attentive. We highly recommend it! Thank you!

A wonderful discovery in this lovely village… A family-run establishment for three generations, where you'll find genuine friendliness and a warm welcome. I particularly appreciated the kindness of the young owner, who was very accommodating, smiling, and attentive to her customers. An authentic and friendly place that I recommend without hesitation!

Remember to book a table for dinner. The terrace is perfect for drinks with a group.

A delightful surprise for Sunday lunch after a family bike ride. Original small plates, unusual Italian recipes (like the Calabrian risotto alla 'nduia). Excellent pizzas, with a truly divine crust that clearly reflects the owners' Neapolitan roots. Very friendly staff and efficient service.

I initially stopped by just for a drink, but the aromas wafting from the kitchen made me want more. On the recommendation of the very pleasant and professional staff, I decided to try the suggested dish, which was divine. And the dessert? Exquisite! I highly recommend it and will be back soon.
