What a wonderful encounter! I couldn't leave Aix-en-Provence without bringing back some calissons, and I stumbled upon the Léonard Parli factory quite by chance. Arriving at night in a commercial area, I wasn't expecting to be greeted by the owner himself, who took the time to tell us about their expertise, their almond trees, and their project to bring the factory closer to their land, now cultivated by his son. He offered us a taste of their calissons, and the surprise was immediate: a balanced sweetness, less sugary than those we had tasted elsewhere, which further highlighted the almond and the texture. This impromptu visit was a real pleasure. You can immediately sense the attachment to tradition, the precision of the craftsmanship, and the desire to share a family story. I left with a smile… and the desire to introduce my loved ones to these calissons, prepared with such care. A huge thank you for the warm welcome and this simple, genuine moment. Now all that's left is to enjoy them sparingly...😅

During my visit to France in December, I had a wonderful experience in Aix-en-Provence with LÉONARD PARLI's Calisson d’Aix. The shop is a must-see: delicious artisanal products, a charming welcome, and explanations so clear that you can appreciate every detail of the production process. The tastings make the experience even more special. The calissons, chocolates, and candied fruit reflect the authentic identity of Aix. I took several back to Ecuador as gifts… and everyone loved them!
