L'Ermitage Hotel Cuisine a manger sur Saint-Cyr-Au-Mont-D'Or

We spent one night at the Hôtel L’Ermitage, and frankly, the current 3.9/5 rating on Google doesn't reflect our experience. We had booked the Belvédère room, which offers an absolutely incredible view of the Monts d’Or and Lyon. The setting is calm, peaceful, and truly magnificent—a real haven of tranquility. Upon arrival, we had a drink on the restaurant terrace, bathed in sunshine: a very pleasant way to start our stay. We then had the relaxation area to ourselves, allowing us to truly unwind, exactly what we were looking for. In the evening, we dined at the hotel restaurant: excellent cuisine, discreet and pleasant service. We had a wonderful evening. The next morning, breakfast was a very pleasant surprise: a well-organized buffet with a high-quality savory selection (which is quite rare and worth mentioning), featuring organic and seasonal products. The desserts were also excellent: pastries, delicious bread, praline brioche, organic products, and a superb homemade pear compote. We were able to enjoy the relaxation area one last time before our departure. The early check-out before noon is a real plus, allowing you to fully enjoy the morning. Of course, having a professional eye for the restaurant industry ourselves, we noticed a few imperfections, particularly regarding the cleanliness of the relaxation area (chewing gum and hair were found on the edge of the jacuzzi upon our arrival, and these hadn't been cleaned up by our departure). The facilities also show some signs of age. However, this didn't spoil our stay in any way. The staff was lovely from beginning to end, and the overall experience remains very positive. We loved our stay, so kudos to the team, and we will most likely be back next month.

Breathtaking view! Spacious rooms, excellent bedding. The pool and spa were a really nice bonus.

Hello everyone reading this review, I would like to warmly and sincerely thank the entire team and management of the hotel for the warm welcome and the preparation of my stay, and especially the receptionist Emilie, who was incredibly kind and provided professional service like I have never experienced before. I also want to thank the night staff, who were absolutely lovely. I highly and sincerely recommend this establishment, which will make you feel at ease. It boasts a breathtaking view, a beautiful building, and a lovely complex for relaxation. Thank you to everyone who contributed to my stay, as it was a surprise for my wife. The room decor was very cold, and the bathroom decor was outdated. The room was small, and you practically had to lean out to get a view of Lyon. The relaxation area wasn't great; there was just a pool and a jacuzzi.

An absolutely exceptional stay. With two children and a baby, we were blown away: the kids' club was perfect, with varied activities truly tailored to each age group. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and designed with families in mind. The breakfast buffet was a veritable feast of fresh, high-quality products, offering something for everyone. And the service was exceptionally kind and professional. A top-of-the-range hotel that has perfected every detail. We will definitely be back.

The room wasn't very large, but it was more than adequate and had an incredible view. The restaurant, "La Cuisine à Manger," boasts a superb panoramic view of Lyon. The dishes are homemade, generous, and made with seasonal ingredients. I highly recommend it.
