The Italian waiter looks really happy and we love that!
Absolutely amazing, so delicious! It tastes even better than what I've had in Italy! The must-order is the shrimp, pesto, and pistachio pasta. Aside from the pasta being a little firm, it had a great chewy texture. As someone from Xi'an, I give this pasta a 95 out of 100. I'm deducting 5 points for being a little too firm, haha! 😄

Les Amis de Messina is Sicily served with precision, generosity, and panache. A sun-drenched, straightforward cuisine, deeply rooted in the ingredients, yet capable of creating true harmonies on the palate.
From the very first bite, the antipasti platter sets the tone: seasonal vegetables, sfincione siciliano, fior di latte mozzarella, and cured meats form a generous, almost orchestral opening. Each element plays its part. The vegetables bring the fresh, vegetal character and vibrancy of the meal's beginning, particularly the slightly sweet pepper that rounds out the whole dish and adds an almost candied sweetness. The sfincione siciliano, with its soft texture and leavened dough aroma, establishes a more rustic, warm, and profoundly Mediterranean base. The fior di latte mozzarella tempers the flavors with its creamy richness, while the cured meats add saltiness, rich fat, and that touch of umami that brings depth to the entire dish. Nothing is merely decorative: everything contributes to the overall balance.
The marinated free-range chicken cutlets perfectly embody this principle. The tender, flavorful meat provides the perfect base for a beautifully crafted marinade: fresh mint adds a vegetal, almost ethereal note; bay leaf provides depth; garlic structures the flavor; oregano immediately evokes Sicily; and Les Amis de Messina extra virgin olive oil envelops everything with a fruity roundness. Sicilian lemon acts like a sharp blade, enhancing, enlivening, and balancing the richness of the breading, preventing the dish from becoming overly opulent. The homemade breadcrumbs and cheese create a golden, flavorful, slightly crispy crust that adds indulgence without masking the delicate marinade. Served with a seasonal salad, the dish finds its counterpoint: freshness, lightness, and a sense of airiness.
Pasta alle acciughe is undoubtedly one of the most expressive dishes on the table. The anchovies in oil bring a saline intensity and a beautifully controlled umami depth, without ever overpowering the other flavors. The wild fennel introduces an aniseed, almost herbaceous note, which lightens the anchovy's intensity and gives the dish an unexpected elegance. The tomato sauce provides acidity, roundness, and fruitiness, while the breadcrumbs play an essential role: they add texture, depth, and a slight roughness that clings to the sauce and prolongs the tasting experience. The pasta, perfectly al dente, retains that resistance that gives the dish its tension. The touch of chili, intelligently measured, doesn't seek to dominate: it simply awakens the finish and leaves a clean, lingering warmth, never aggressive.
The dessert confirms the excellent overall impression. The tiramisu, accompanied by a scoop of pistachio ice cream, works with perfect harmony. The cream is airy, supple, and light; the coffee is present, intense enough to structure the dessert without drying it out. The pistachio ice cream adds a more vegetal, almost buttery roundness that complements the coffee's bitterness beautifully. The whole is balanced, indulgent, and precise. Clearly, one of the best tiramisus in Paris.
The service is delightful, attentive, and remarkably quick, further enhancing the experience. Les Amis de Messina achieves what one expects from a great Sicilian restaurant: fresh ingredients, generous portions, honest cuisine, but above all, a true understanding of balance. A highly recommended address—remember to book in the evening, as the restaurant's success is clearly no accident.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant 3 times in the past 2 weeks, and every meal was delicious.
I highly recommend the Pasta alla Norma,a tomato and eggplant pasta.
On one occasion, the carbonara sauce was slightly overcooked, but after we pointed it out, the kitchen kindly remade the dish for us. One extra star for the great service.
