Les Bains du Marais sur Paris

A wonderful family experience on a Saturday at lunchtime. Our reservation for four people was perfectly managed in terms of timing. We were even all together for the massage. We didn't have exclusively female therapists, but this had been requested beforehand, so there were no unpleasant surprises. We were all very happy with our massages. The black soap scrub was excellent, and the "pillow" treatment was a real bonus. The hammam is spacious and nice and warm. There's a relaxation room next door to cool off. The sauna is smaller, but it comfortably fits four people (at least). All the staff were incredibly attentive. Afterwards, we had brunch at Les Paillettes. We were a little worried when we arrived (around 2:15 pm) because we were told that brunch was only served until 2:30 pm (even though I had booked for 2:30 pm...). But in the end, it worked out well. There was plenty of everything left, and we left satisfied. I recommend it!

A very unpleasant surprise awaited me upon arrival: a sanitary napkin in one pocket of the bathrobe and a handkerchief in the other. In an establishment of this caliber, this kind of oversight is hardly acceptable. I immediately informed the manager and requested a gesture of goodwill. Despite repeated apologies, no compensation was offered at the time of payment, which I find regrettable. On the other hand, the body scrub performed by Souad was exceptional: a truly relaxing and professional experience.

A friend and I booked a head spa at Les Bains du Marais for the same time, directly online. A few days later, our appointments were rescheduled by an hour. When we called, we were told that there was only one room dedicated to the head spa, so it was impossible to have the treatment at the same time. It's a shame this wasn't mentioned when we booked on the website; we would have planned our visit differently. On the day, the setting was quite lovely, no complaints there. Regarding the treatment itself: it was my first head spa, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I found it to be essentially just an enhanced shampoo. It was pleasant and relaxing, but I didn't get the "wow" factor I expected given the price (€120 for 50 minutes). I relaxed, but without any thrills or real surprises. The therapist massaged my trapezius muscles and a little bit of my face. The massage was quite deep, sometimes a little painful (this is subjective, I could have asked for it to be gentler). Nevertheless, I enjoyed the experience. However, my friend, who went right after me with a different therapist, didn't receive the same service at all: no facial massage and very little attention to her trapezius muscles and shoulders. She mainly got a shampoo. It's strange that the service isn't consistent for everyone, especially at this price. She was quite disappointed. Finally, a practical detail: bring your own brush. You leave with your hair wrapped in a towel, unstyled. There is a hairdryer in the changing rooms, but without a brush, it's difficult to style your hair properly. Luckily, I had one in my bag, otherwise I would have left with wet, barely detangled hair. In short: pleasant setting, relaxing experience, but inconsistent service and a price/quality ratio that I find a bit high. I won't recommend this place to anyone I know, and I'll try a head spa at another salon to compare. I hope this review helps future clients know what to expect.
