Excellent restaurant in Sarlat, discovered last night! The dishes are generous and truly high quality, featuring excellent local duck products. The cooking was perfect and the flavor particularly pronounced, demonstrating the care taken in the kitchen. The restaurant is located in a charming little alley in Sarlat, which makes the experience even more delightful. The staff is very friendly and we immediately felt welcome. I'm so glad I didn't let the 3.9/5 Google rating deter me, because this establishment clearly deserves 5/5. It just goes to show, you shouldn't always rely solely on a rating: some truly wonderful places are well worth the detour!

This restaurant is very pleasant and the owner is friendly. All the dishes are delicious and generous. The value for money is quite good, especially considering its location in Sarlat. Note their homemade foie gras. The wines are also well-chosen. This was my fourth visit to this establishment at different times of the year over the years: always consistent quality and a real pleasure to return. I highly recommend it!

A very pleasant surprise considering the current ratings (it's tough to make up for the shortcomings of previous establishments). Everything is 100% homemade, which makes for a wonderful evening! Yes, we can nitpick (we're all budding critics), but overall it easily deserves a 4.8/5. The welcome, the service (thank you for the perfectly baked country bread), the food (cooking times were perfect), and the value for money were all excellent. Now, to nitpick, I'd say the starter arrived too quickly while we were still enjoying the aperitif, the foie gras (which was rather bland) would have benefited from toasted brioche or gingerbread, and the crème brûlée could have been caramelized at the last minute to create the hot/cold contrast that I didn't get. 😐 In short, don't hesitate, it's a very good place! 👍

Excellent restaurant with great value for money. Located in the heart of the medieval town. Charming little courtyard. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The Périgord salad was excellent as a starter, featuring foie gras, confit gizzards, and dried duck breast. Main courses: confit duck leg with Sarlat-style potatoes, salmon with vegetables, and a children's menu were all excellent. One of the best restaurants in the medieval town! Highly recommended!

A wonderful time in the sunshine, with a very warm welcome from the friendly and smiling staff. The food was of excellent quality (the duck breast was delicious!). Very good value for money, with a daily menu that lets you immerse yourself in local cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, thank you!

Excellent food. Excellent products.

This was my first experience with duck, I had the confit with potato Sarladais, and it was delicious. My husband had the voluté, which was very rich and delicious, and the salmon. We were staying nearby and happened to see the owner/manager setting up for lunch, so we asked if we could get a reservation for that same evening, and we did. He was so nice and very understanding about our limited ability to speak French.
