Humid. Heavy rain when we arrived and no possibility of drying our belongings. We interrupted our TMB because our things had not dried overnight

Best location, wonderful view on a clear day. Kindness of the staff. Dormitories not closed to the ceiling (so no soundproofing)
We eat well and have a good breakfast.

We arrived on a day of heavy rain and certainly the fact of being divided into several structures (to go from the dormitory to the restaurant or to the bathroom you have to go outside) is not comfortable.
They were certainly the best meals of the whole TMB, truly excellent dishes, beyond expectations and in the various refuges the quality has always been rather low.
Extremely helpful and welcoming staff.

We only went for lunch, so the review is for the restaurant only:
This was probably the best lunch i’ve had on the mountains. The service was so good, they’ve presented (and explained) each dish they had, which are cooked by the hosts. Water, bread and mustard were on the house, big thanks, much appreciated.

It's a very cozy place where the owners are welcoming and managed to attend to everyoane in a timely manner even when all tables were full. The food was absolutely delicious: from first bite of the croûte to the last bite of pie crust.

The Gite is in a remote area, but I see the efforts to make us comfortable after a long hike. The couple who runs the Gite welcomed us with a warm dinner even we arrived way past the dinner time. It was very late, but the lady still added the bread to our basket with a heart warming smile.

Cadre superbe. Accueil de Mathias et sa femme très sympathique, cuisine locale, plats simples et bien préparés. Prix très correct. Une super adresse.
