The terrace is lovely, and the food is excellent and sophisticated. However, I was very disappointed by the waiter (the waitress was very pleasant), who rushed our order, and was disappointed that we didn't order a starter… and that there were only two desserts for four people! In short, we must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed!

We loved it! The warm and friendly welcome, the explanation of the menu and daily specials, the meticulous preparation and deliciousness of everything we tasted, the varied wine list to complement our meal, the very relaxed atmosphere perfect for a pleasant afternoon, and a lovely touch from the chef who visited our table to ask how we were enjoying our meal. Thank you so much for everything; we will definitely be back.

We walked past and spotted the lovely terrace. We decided to have lunch there and we weren't disappointed! A warm welcome and refined cuisine! You can feel the passion behind it all, and it's delightful.

11/07/2026: Slow service and unfriendly waiters. Avoid it, as St. Émilion is full of small cafes and bistros.

L'Envers du Decor

06/08/2026: Really nice restaurant with a beautiful terrace!! We came here for dinner and really enjoyed it. The cold lentil soup (suggestion of the day) was super refreshing, and the slow-cooked lamb for two was absolutely delicious - so tender and flavourful. The only small miss was the wine. We asked for a recommendation, but it didn’t match our style. No big deal though—everyone’s taste is different. Would happily come back. Highly recommend!
06/08/2026: Third time visiting L'Envers du Décor, and I have to say I think it's gone downhill a bit. The atmosphere is still the best thing about this place—exactly what you'd expect from a lively French bistro, with plenty of character and a great buzz. Unfortunately, the food really fell short this time. We had the T-bone steak and steak tartare, among other dishes, and I mention the meat because everyone who ate it ended up feeling sick later that night. It was really disappointing given how much we'd enjoyed our previous visits. The service wasn't great either. We had to wait around 10 minutes for our side dishes after our mains had already arrived, and our waitress wasn't particularly friendly or attentive. Overall, it was a disappointing experience compared to our previous visits. I hope this was just an off night, but based on this visit, I'd be hesitant to return
