Excellent restaurant! Every dish, from appetizer to dessert, was superb, in terms of presentation, preparation, and quantity. The service was also top-notch; there was no pressure, and we took our time to savor our meals and enjoy the pleasant covered terrace. As for the prices, they were very reasonable; we chose the €35 set menu plus wines. We highly recommend this excellent and enjoyable restaurant.

La Cranquette in Gruissan offers delicious cuisine, with scallops as a starter, cuttlefish from Gruissan as a main course, and delectable cream puffs for dessert. The meal was excellent, and the warm atmosphere was enhanced by expert advice on local wines. The owner guided us with passion, suggesting wines that she and her partner taste before adding them to the wine list.

The place is unique and welcoming. The food is good, but we would have appreciated it if the chef had asked us if everything was alright instead of turning his back on us to go and pamper his friends!
The snails were swimming in their sauce, which was very good, but it was difficult to pinch a small grey snail shell that broke in half to extract the snail; I had snails everywhere. The eels were well-prepared and the sauce was delicious, but again, it was difficult to remove the bone. A plate would be helpful for cutting the fish into pieces. The price was a bit high considering that both the small grey snails and the eels were small portions.

plus, it's suitable for young children
who can enjoy the children's menu with cuttlefish and potatoes
very good
the only downside
it's a bit cold at the table in winter
and we actually prefer wild boar in a stew, and less so in the pinkish sliced form, it's a personal preference and besides
to each their own
I highly recommend this restaurant and the welcome from Mélanie and Julien!

A wonderful discovery in the heart of Gruissan. The welcome was charming, and the cuisine was of very high quality. We thoroughly enjoyed the squid needles and cuttlefish quenelles. The service was very attentive and much appreciated, especially with two young children. We'll be back!

A truly warm and sincere welcome, an original, elegant, and artistic setting, a friendly musical atmosphere, and consistently smiling and attentive service.
As for the cuisine, it's refined, flavorful, beautifully presented, and original.
They also offer gluten-free options, organic products, and excellent wines, including organic options if desired.
In short, it's far from the tourist traps in the area. I highly recommend it; I had a wonderful time.

We had tuna belly and eel stew.
A very good place that I highly recommend.
