L'Escale sur Dijon

04/04/2024: Small restaurant with big ambitions, for now the cuisine is of a good standard, but the management of the room is decidedly approximate with incomplete dishes delivered, chaos of crockery, heavy atmosphere due to non-optimal ventilation. Well put together seasonal menu, although with modest choice, minimal and expensive wine list, of little research, we would have expected more curiosity given the style of the place. Overrated.

03/04/2024: A bit disappointing. Pleasant dishes, nothing more. However, the fish and shrimp were cooked successfully. Tests of creativity but the little extra is missing for it to be truly successful. Certain dishes in particular mix too many different ingredients which do not necessarily combine well. We took wines by the glass without any taste and therefore rather expensive for the quality. Mixed opinion therefore especially after seeing that in the kitchen the sauce for one of the desserts came directly from a sachet. This therefore casts doubt on the rest.
