Honestly, a fantastic place. We love it. Cozy atmosphere, vintage decor, rock vibe… it has real personality and you immediately feel at ease. Leslie is lovely, always spontaneous and full of great advice. You can tell she loves what she does and it shines through in the atmosphere. An authentic, charming place where you're guaranteed a great time. Don't miss it if you're ever in Villefranche!

Thank goodness my husband and I found this beautiful, quaint little spot on our first trip to Villefranche-Sur-Mer in 2023. Thanks to Leslie, her kindness, and her hospitality, we have returned not only to Villefranche a further 6 times, but to La Grande Cave most nights of each of those holidays. Leslie has always been so welcoming, friendly, hilariously funny, sarcastic, energetic and efficient. She has made my husband and I feel like family, each and every time. It comes as no surprise that each and every time we visit, La Grande Cave is fully booked. Everyone loves it here and the service is exceptional - second to none. We have been proud to bring friends from Scotland and Ireland to visit La Grande Cave over the years - our friends have also had an unforgettable experience and have not only been made to feel most welcome by Leslie, but they’ve also come away with lovely memories and the hopes that they will get to visit again one day. La Grande Cave is a MUST visit in Villefranche. If you can appreciate a little dry and wacky humour with a vast selection of wines and warm, quirky surroundings, La Grande Cave is the place for you. Leslie is crazy and fun, with a very unique sense of humour. Every night is a blend of relaxed vibes with often hilarious antics. We loved visiting this wine bar, we even went back a second time. Amazing wine selection, the champagne is amazing. Cheese plate is also delicious. Love the service and vibe.
