L'Escapade des Sens sur Thiviers

Tonight, for my birthday, I had the pleasure of discovering L’Escapade des Sens in Thiviers. The setting is magnificent, the welcome warm, and the service impeccable. We enjoyed a five-course menu, accompanied by three amuse-bouches, and everything was absolutely delicious. Each dish was as beautiful as it was flavorful. The servers were incredibly attentive, smiling, and very pleasant, and the pace between courses was perfectly controlled. A truly wonderful discovery, which I wholeheartedly recommend to all lovers of fine cuisine. A must-try!

Re-tested and approved in July. Slightly too generous a portion, but absolutely top-notch from start to finish—a feast for the senses. The wine pairing was interesting; luckily, we only ordered one bottle for two people. Congratulations and best of luck!

A very pretty and delicious restaurant, with several complimentary small plates. It's very classy, ​​and the presentation of the dishes is very original. BUT, it's not suitable for children! There's no children's menu, and no regular dishes like chicken, so unfortunately my daughter couldn't eat properly. The plates were very full, especially since you had to order a starter and dessert, so you need to come hungry to this restaurant! But otherwise, it's very pretty.

It was good, but we expected something amazing, and it wasn't. The staff was friendly but also a bit businesslike. It is all a bit pretentious. The 5-course tasting menu was not recommended at all, yet we chose it. Amuse-bouches were tasty, portions not large, fine. The serving pace was killing; I read that mentioned earlier. It could be a bit slower. We found the soy sauce with the meat dish... unusual but strange. The dessert with cherry ice cream mousse and chocolate was delicious, the highlight of the evening. The glass of champagne and rosé were nice. Coffee was also fine. 144 euros. Oh well, fine, but we won't choose this restaurant again. The opening hours on Google Maps do not match the website.

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at noon and had a wonderful time. The reservation and welcome were very professional, and the gourmet meal cost €74 with four wines perfectly paired with our dishes. The ingredients were locally sourced and reflect the Périgord influence. The service was provided by highly competent staff who were always attentive to the customer. We highly recommend this restaurant for its warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The food was good overall, except for the foie gras, which was tasteless. One minor drawback is having to stand in line at the entrance to pay the bill, which isn't very professional after a good dinner. The price per person is around €100 for the gourmet meal with wine. The service was impeccable and the staff welcoming. At this price, the owner should consider implementing a table billing system.

It's a pleasure to return to this restaurant. The cuisine is inventive and very tasty. The service is excellent, with everyone being treated with respect. Thank you all for a wonderful time. See you soon.

A wonderful discovery! They're flexible regarding allergens and the customer's lifestyle (vegetarians welcome). The menu features seasonal and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Friendly service! I highly recommend it! Thank you!
