We received a very warm welcome (even with a large stroller). The food is delicious and excellent value for money. The servers are incredibly attentive, professional, and caring. The children's menu is great, with delicious meat, vegetables, and homemade mashed potatoes. (A welcome change from fish and chips!). They also have an innovative dry soap dispenser system in the restrooms—much more eco-friendly! 😁

We had three delicious courses, and the service was very friendly and attentive. All in all, a very good experience of fine local cuisine. Definitely worth a visit, especially at over €40 per person.

We highly recommend L'essentiel. The food is incredibly delicious. We ordered the set menu (including fish with polenta) and were absolutely thrilled. A well-deserved 5 stars.

The welcome and service were perfect. Smiles and attentiveness were guaranteed. The cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, were excellent as aperitifs. We ordered the daily specials—starters, main courses, and desserts—which were a hit with everyone; they were delicious. Excellent value for money. We will be back.

Seven of us came for lunch. Everyone loved their meal. The fish was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were delicious. The fig and speculoos tiramisu was excellent. The service was efficient and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Le Bistrot Gourmand

22/08/2026: Excellent, a bistro just the way we like them. Gourmet, as its name suggests, and absolutely delicious. The mussels Spanish style and the pork rillettes are superb. The mussels Breton style are a revelation, and everything is excellent.
21/08/2026: Excellent food, very welcoming and friendly service – all the more appreciated given the peak tourist season. Absolutely flawless from start to finish, highly recommended!
