A truly wonderful place in Serre Chevalier. The porcini mushroom fondue was excellent and generous, which we enjoyed with their beautifully presented vegetarian side dish. We couldn't resist dessert, though, and their pecan and exotic fruit tart of the moment was absolutely divine!
The waiters and waitresses were incredibly attentive, and despite a busy Saturday night, the atmosphere remained pleasantly quiet. A special mention goes to the sparkling tableware, even though we were perhaps not the first to forget to stir the fondue for a little too long.

Fantastic place! Friendly atmosphere. Top-notch service and welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Special mention for the dishes accompanying the beef fondue and the three-meat hot stone grill: the gratin dauphinois (original recipe) and the carrot purée were absolutely divine! An excellent evening: a big thank you to the team!

We've been regulars in Serre Chevalier, and at the L'Estable restaurant for four consecutive years. The food has always been excellent, which is exactly what you look for when you come to the mountains: good charcuterie and cheese. But the atmosphere with the owner wasn't great at all!
But that was BEFORE! The team, now in 2026, is FANTASTIC, with a lovely owner and a PERFECT team, attentive to their customers without being pushy, always smiling and kind. We had a wonderful time in your company, see you next year!

A truly wonderful discovery! Since the restaurant was taken over by its new manager, the place has acquired an even warmer atmosphere. She is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive to her customers, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The dishes are delicious, prepared with care, and bursting with flavor… and what can I say about the desserts: simply exceptional!
The place is inviting; you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door. An address I wholeheartedly recommend and where I will gladly return!

What more could you want? A truly excellent raclette with everything you could want, a superb Apremont wine, and above all, delightful hosts who were happy to share their experiences. I'll definitely be back tomorrow! 🫶🏻 P.S.: ++ for digestifs from here and elsewhere

We dined there two evenings during our week in Saint Chaffrey and it was a pleasant experience. The waitstaff was professional, friendly, and accommodating, offering clear explanations and thoughtful suggestions at the beginning of the meal. There was a palpable energy and a real sense of unity between the dining room and the kitchen. The ingredients were high-quality and the dishes were delicious.
One minor drawback: the portions were a bit small (especially the tartiflette, which was more like a gratin dauphinois to our taste, with not enough Reblochon cheese). We mentioned this and our feedback was taken into account—it's also a matter of personal preference.
Special mention goes to the young owners (brother and sister), who were attentive and courteous: a genuine, welcoming, and professional establishment. Thank you to the entire team.
