We had a good time in this restaurant.
The atmosphere with the fireplace is very nice.
Solange and Audrey were very welcoming. In the kitchen the wait is a little long but the service with a smile helps you wait..

Out of season, it was nice to have a “slate” menu. We appreciated the welcome and service from Solange, who brought the sun to this gray day.
As for meals, nothing to say. Poutine for madam, homemade Welsh for me. I particularly appreciated the exchange with the chef after the meal. The Welsh was made the traditional way, well soaked and not just covered in melted cheddar 👍
Sufficient portions and good local taste. We will come back.

Edit: New visit to the restaurant on 04/23/22. New management. The menu is simple, few choices but which suggests that the products are at least worked and fresh. Effectively. This time we are not disappointed! As a starter, an excellent maroilles flamequiche for me and garlic snails for my companion. The entry was excellent. For the main course, a delicious beef tartare very well seasoned with fries and raw vegetables. Everything was excellent. The welcome was very good, the waitress was smiling and responsive! Nothing to complain about really this time we really weren't disappointed! Best wishes !

Very good experience, I recommend 100%.
A family meal (a table of 15) where young and old alike enjoyed themselves, in a friendly setting.
Pleasant and very professional staff.
My compliments to the chef, the plates were all empty at the end of the meal.

We spent the weekend at Val Joly, we dined in this restaurant, we were welcomed by Solange who gave us a perfect welcome and service, we discovered the chef's (Eddy) cuisine which is generous and very well cooked. . It smells “homemade”. We had a great time, we recommend it and we will come back with pleasure!
