L'Estocade sur Chartres

What a wonderful discovery! We dined at L’Estocade almost by chance, and what a delightful surprise it was. The restaurant is a beautiful house with a warm and elegant décor, where you immediately feel at ease. The welcome was particularly pleasant, and the staff, both attentive and helpful, provided highly professional service. The cuisine is refined, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Special mention goes to the dishes served piping hot on warm plates—a detail that has become rare, but one that makes all the difference and deserves to be highlighted. We had a wonderful evening and will gladly return as soon as the opportunity arises.

This is the second time I've tried this restaurant. The atmosphere is calm and bright, the food is delicious. It's pricey, but the quality is there. I highly recommend it if you want a great meal!

Even before sitting down to eat, you can tell the service is excellent. Throughout the meal, we were truly attentive, and for a restaurant in this price range, that's really worth noting. The restaurant's ambiance is superb, the tables are large, the decor is elegant—a very good experience. As for the food, the scallop appetizer with leek was good, but perhaps there were too many elements that made the dish a little confusing. The fried egg was very much appreciated with its flavorful chorizo ​​sauce—a delight. The tripe à la mode de Caen was fresh and cooked to perfection. The vegetables, however, were almost mushy, which was a shame. One thing that slightly detracts from the overall quality of the meal is the bread. It's a bit of a letdown to have bread like that with such good food. In any case, it makes you want to come back and try the rest of the menu.

We had a wonderful family time at this excellent restaurant where everything was perfect, from the cozy atmosphere by the crackling fireplace to the delicious, beautifully presented, and much-appreciated dishes (children included ☺️), all served by a lovely person who took great care of us and readily accommodated our needs.
