L'etable sur Tours

Great wine, service and dinner!

Generous and delicious cuisine. Original dishes. Competent and very pleasant staff. A must-try in Tours.

On September 21, 2026, around 9 p.m., we went to L’Etable. It took an unpleasant waitress to ruin the meal. The food was good. I had the egg in sauce as a starter, which was delicious, followed by the "Beucherelle" from Tours as a main course, and the pistachio brownie with white chocolate mousse for dessert, which was divine. The only downside: the sweetbreads need to be cleaned more thoroughly (the membrane should be removed completely). On the other hand, the kidneys were impeccable. In short, thankfully the second waitress, Camille, was much more charming: smiling, polite, and very professional. Thanks to her, who went to ask the cooks if the kitchen was still open, we were able to eat. The second, older waitress was clearly not pleased with the initiative of the charming, professional woman. Let's be frank, the other, older waitress should consider changing her attitude towards customers (and I'm being kind). The way they respond to people and that sisterly smile towards us and other customers, my god!

We tried it twice in one week, once on a Friday evening and once on a Sunday at lunchtime. The traditional French cuisine was very well executed. It's one of the restaurants in Tours with the best value for money, and as a bonus, the staff are very pleasant and smiling.

My sweetheart and I came to eat at L’Étable and we had a wonderful time! 🥰 The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was simply delicious. We enjoyed every bite! The wine was also excellent and paired perfectly with the meal. 🍷 A fantastic find, we'll definitely be back! ✨

No complaints about the service; they were professional. As for the food, we have to admit we were disappointed. The dishes advertised sounded genuinely interesting, but the result was very mixed. In short, we were left wanting more, not in terms of quantity, but in terms of the quality of the execution and the perceived quality of the ingredients. Not exactly thrilling. Sorry.

Fantastic experience at L'Étable! The staff were very friendly and the value for money was excellent. The portions were perfect and beautifully presented. The flavor combinations were superb. This restaurant is now one of my favorites in Tours.
