We had a great time at L’Étale d’Edgard. The service was superb, with an attentive and friendly team. However, when it came to the matured meat dishes, although the price suggested exceptional quality, I was slightly disappointed. The meat was okay, but I was expecting something truly remarkable for this price point. Overall a good experience, but maybe the meat isn't entirely worth the cost.

While passing through Rennes, we had not planned to have a meal there, but after a coffee, given the peacefulness of the place and the kindness of the waiters and waitresses, we had a small meal there. A plate of chopped steak and fries which, as my daughter said, was simple and delicious. Thank you again for your professionalism and sympathy.

Meat is great (August 2021). The kitchen was a bit slow though for an evening with just few tables to serve, in summer holidays season. The cow pictures are a bit cringe 😅

Accueil chaleureux, personnel sympathique, soucieux de satisfaire le client.
Viande de première qualité ,cuisson parfaite conforme à la demande.

Formule midi bien placée en prix avec du choix
Entrée, jambon espagnol copieuse est bonne, suivie d’un tartare, excellent
Déception importante sur l’entrecôte à la carte car pour 32 € on s’attend à beaucoup mieux d’un restaurant qualifié comme spécialiste de la viande c’était quelconque et loin de ce que je connais sur une viande irlandaise et la béarnaise était insipide et servie riquiqui

A first conclusive experience 😋 both in terms of the service, the welcome, and the quality of the dishes 🙏 the Japanese-style tartare is killer ❤️ I highly recommend this address just opposite the TGV station 🥰
