We had a seafood platter, which was of okay quality. The service wasn't particularly attentive. The ambiance is reminiscent of old-fashioned French restaurants.

A Nancy institution with a menu offering a wide selection of dishes and seafood. We were a table of nine, and the general consensus was that the food wasn't anything special. It was fairly standard fare without much refinement.

I liked the busyness of the place and the interior (really huge, nicely decorated and filled with people), the service was okay, and the food good. I'd return once before I can say excellent. I'm sure there have been film scenes shot here.

People come back for the menu and the slightly old-fashioned atmosphere, but today the seafood sauerkraut was a bit underwhelming and the profiteroles were starting to melt; they also needed a glass of white Burgundy.

Liked it here a lot. Throwback Brasserie. No complaints at all. Very close to the train station so just a few minutes from the center. Inside is absolutely beautiful. Food is good and the place is busy so the oysters and tartar move fast. So that’s good.

An exceptionally great coffee shop, and they also serve a lot of food. We only went for cold drinks. The interior is fantastic and rustic. It was a bit rough around the edges, yet still full of charm.

The Art Nouveau setting is magnificent and worth the trip alone. But in such a touristy place, one doesn't expect such an attentive and warm welcome, such discreet and efficient service, or such original and refined regional cuisine. Many thanks.

20/05/2026: A truly wonderful discovery at L’Impromptu in the Covered Market of Nancy! We were lucky enough to enjoy this experience thanks to a prize we won in the “I Love Nancy” contest by Destination Nancy, and what a treat it was! Authentic cuisine made with fresh ingredients, where you can taste the quality of the ingredients and the culinary expertise. Dishes bursting with flavor, a real delight from start to finish. All this in a warm and friendly atmosphere that makes you want to fully savor the moment. Thank you for this wonderful culinary interlude and this lovely discovery. A place we are happy to recommend!
