L'Gaiette sur Lille

We were there as a couple. What a wonderful surprise! We felt right at home, comfortable and friendly, and the service couldn't have been better. I highly recommend it for a romantic evening, a night out with friends, or a night out with colleagues. Looking forward to the next time! 😉🍽️

What a pleasant surprise! Looking for a good Welsh rarebit in the center of Lille, we decided to try this little bistro. The menu was varied and tempting, the service was good, and the restaurant really immersed us in the Lille atmosphere. I'll be back.

We came on Saturday evening, somewhat by chance. The food was good, the service quick, and the staff pleasant. We weren't expecting anything special and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal for the price. We'd gladly go back if we're ever in Lille again.

A wonderful discovery yesterday! Originally from the north, I wanted to introduce some Marseille specialties to friends: carbonnade, waterzooi, and homemade Liège waffles! Everyone loved it. Impeccable service. A place to remember (be sure to book ahead).

Absolutely fantastic, as always! I've been three times already and have never been disappointed! The welcome was excellent, warm, and friendly. The food is delicious, generous, and typical of Northern France—exactly what you'd expect from a true traditional Flemish pub. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from start to finish in a convivial atmosphere. A place to remember and recommend without hesitation!

We were looking for a small pub to end our stay in Lille and stumbled upon L'Gaiette. Despite it being a bit late (2:00 PM), the owner welcomed us with open arms. We started with the owner's recommended aperitif: a homemade Picon (quite strong and a little too sweet for my taste). Unable to decide, as the menu descriptions were so tempting, we opted for the tasting platter: Flemish carbonnade, chicken au gratin with Maroilles cheese, and a slice of Vire andouille sausage with a mustard cream sauce. A generous plate and generous portions. All accompanied by authentic Belgian fries. Delicious! We finished with a generous Colonel (a shot of liqueur) and the owner's rum. A very typical setting, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly people. Everything is there for a wonderful, convivial time.
