Lovely waitstaff and presentation was impeccable. Intimate setting far from the main square for a leisurely and relaxed meal. The local cheeses were all very unique and all the dishes had a variation of texture, flavors and experiences. The “emotional” menu had dishes seemingly in conflict with themselves but each bite was harmony. My favorite was picking the macaroon beet from the “soil” and seeing a little teardrop shape playful nature of it all. Taking yourself not too seriously by exacting all seriousness felt like how the chefs directed their execution. Thank you for a wonderful experience! I especially loved the hand feel of dinnerware and choice of designer utinsels to exact the feeling of whimsy , but professional attention to detail.

L’Huitrier Pie in Saint-Émilion is easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had over the years traveling through France, and yes, it’s featured in the Michelin Guide.
First off, Saint-Émilion itself is a UNESCO World Heritage village near Bordeaux, widely known for the quality of its wines. While it can get crowded at times, the setting alone already puts you in the right mood.
From there, the restaurant delivers across the board, beautiful setting, well-paced service, attentive staff, and outstanding food and wine. What really stands out is the value: for this level of quality, the price point is surprisingly reasonable.
All in all, a true 5-star experience.

I would travel back here just for the pine dessert. Incredible service, and even better food and wine. We brought our 5 year old for his first fancy dinner and the staff did a remarkable job including him along the way to. We will be back… for lunch… today… because it was that good.

Pure bliss! A "wow" factor with every bite, from the amuse-bouche to the petit fours...

Very refined French cuisine. The dishes were beautifully presented and prepared with great respect for the ingredients and their flavors. The price-quality ratio is excellent.
Be sure to ask about the local wines; the staff are very knowledgeable about the products they offer.
The setting is beautiful, well-maintained, and well-decorated.
Our little dog was also very welcome.
