L'Huitrier-Pie sur Saint-Emilion

They say the sky is full of stars. Well, our eyes were filled with them too. What a moment! In the heart of the village of Saint-Émilion, nestled in a refined setting of stone and beautiful trees, the cuisine is worthy of a Michelin star: creative, precise, and full of delicacy and emotion. The wine pairing is as ambitious as it is daring, showcasing the diversity of French wines, from Bordeaux, of course, to Provence and the Pyrénées-Orientales. And what can we say about the dessert... An absolutely magical combination of strawberry, meringue, and violet. It's undoubtedly one of the best desserts we've ever had the pleasure of eating. A truly wonderful way to end an already exceptional meal.

My all-time favorite restaurant! Camille and Soufiane's cuisine transports you to a land of pure emotion. Their creativity, the locally sourced ingredients, combined with a rare talent for their age, make every moment spent at their table a true feast for the senses. The restaurant is intimate, reflecting the two chefs themselves, who have received numerous awards yet remain remarkably humble. They are undoubtedly the "greats of tomorrow," and their restaurant is a must-visit in Saint-Émilion. Refinement, elegance, a true appreciation for quality ingredients, and a spirit of sharing: that's what awaits you at L'Huitrier Pie. Further confirmation that by 2026, Michelin and Gault&Millau had lost some of their credibility. The presentation was very attractive, with numerous side dishes (amuse-bouches, pre-starters, petits fours) that impressed the British and Americans who make up the majority of the clientele. However, the flavors could have benefited from a bit more depth and tension (the zucchini tartlet, for example, could have used a touch more acidity). It was also generally a bit too salty (the cod pre-starter). Food is great, really amazing. Service is polite, but it takes tooo long. 3 hours for a dinner. I would go again but ask for a faster service.

Everything was magnificent: the location, the service, and the cuisine. The flavors and the ingredients were sublime. The sommelier, attentive and knowledgeable, introduced us to superb regional wines. The dishes were beautiful and delicious, from the cocktails to the cheese course. And all this in a charming village – a truly lovely evening!
