Wonderful atmosphere! It's the second time I've eaten here and it's always good. My friends had the fish if the day and my husband and I each had a steak, I wasn't impressed with the cut of steak because it was too thin and steaks should never be thin in my onion. I must point out that the last time I had a steak here it was incredible, so maybe I just ordered the wrong steak this time.

Fabulous, cosy restaurant. Food was excellent (we both had the turbot main). The place has a superb cave where you can walk-in and select your wine by the bottle. An excellent, relaxed evening. 😀

Le Bistrot du Marin

23/09/2026: We had two memorable evenings at Bistrot du Marin! Special mention for the razor clams as a starter and especially for the relaxed yet efficient service. All the servers were very friendly; in this late season, we even made some English friends—it had a real London pub feel! We'll definitely be back!
23/09/2026: Visiting Île de Ré, as we do every September, we once again appreciated the warm welcome and kindness of the team at Bistrot du Marin in Saint Martin, as well as their delicious food and fresh ingredients. We promise, we'll be back. Dominique 64
