L'Institut Restaurant sur Lyon

I told our table service in-charge that - I should have booked L'Institut for all the dinner of my Lyon stay. Food, service, enviornment are beautifully delighting, and of high calibre. Even our neighbour diners are gentlewoman and man. We enjoyed it so much. The foie gras is of very high quality, poached in red wine so carrying aroma and pink edges when sliced, not fatty I like it. The roasted prawns on mushrooms tartare also open up stomachs with nice dressing. The slow-cooked beefchuck is not my cup of tea though. My mother liked to make a long-boiled soup with the front underarm meat of pork (not sure it is shoulder inclusive). Well I'm talking about a different meat, but it is what it comes to my mind the slow-cooked red meat more preferred. Overall the experience is five-star!!!! Price is affordable, all-round of good value, at Bellcour a district you won't miss in Lyon. Salut to the restaruant teams.

A very pleasant setting and a truly excellent meal, we had a lot of fun The small minus for the service which was not excellent, we had to call again to get our aperitifs, the cutlery was reversed... Special mention for the distinguished guest present in the room (aka the morning live ;-) We will come back

Very satisfied with this wonderful evening with the family, the service is attentive despite some hesitations which we can completely forgive, and the plates are a treat both for the eyes and for the taste buds. Excellent wine tips! French gastronomy still has a bright future 😊

We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves as usual. Thanks to the chef for his generosity. The food and wine pairing was perfect. I highly recommend the institute, an ideal address for gourmets in the center of Lyon.
