L'O à la Bouche sur Levernois

06/09/2026: It was okay, nothing special. I expected better. The setting is beautiful. My piece of meat was stringy. No vegetables on the side, just potatoes, which were very good. The chocolate dessert was small but tasty. I felt there was a lack of privacy at the table. The upside of this lack of privacy was that we got to know our table neighbors, but that's not necessarily what you're looking for when you go to a restaurant. The service was good but somewhat disorganized: we were asked several times if we had ordered our main courses and then our desserts.

06/09/2026: Bistrot du Bord de l’Eau was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The food was absolutely outstanding—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and everything we tried was excellent. The service was exceptional: friendly, attentive, and professional without ever feeling rushed. The atmosphere and setting are beautiful, peaceful, elegant, and incredibly relaxing, and the location in Levernois just outside Beaune makes it a perfect stop while exploring Burgundy. From the food to the service to the surroundings, everything was first-class. One of the best places we ate during our entire trip and an absolute must if you’re visiting the Burgundy region.
