Magnificent place, absolutely worth visiting. The wonderful guide told us the history of this place full of events, partly restored for certain pieces. The place also hosts cultural and artistic events.

Gorgeous !!! A real favorite for this abbey with its rich historical and contemporary past! 13€ per place is a bit expensive but it's worth it 👍

Honestly a great place, quiet, renovated and modern while keeping its history! I recommend, the hotel and restaurant are also great!

Beautiful buildings but deplorable wheelchair accessibility only the 1st level is said to be accessible but after a steep path and removable wooden ramps that are too steep, not in compliance with standards! How are the architects of buildings in France chosen and trained!? To definitely see again

We discovered this place by pure chance, we were sleeping in the abbey hotel, the place is incredible, majestic, after the revolution this abbey became a prison until 1963, it is a magical place

Very surprised by this calm and peaceful place full of history! I really appreciated the exhibitions located in different places in the abbey! Little bath of serenity!

Restaurant Le Plantagenêt

16/09/2024: Warm welcome, perfect and friendly service. Short menu, home cooking and everything was excellent!
30/08/2024: Showing up at 7:30 p.m. with my wife without prior reservation, we were immediately warmly welcomed and directed to one of the rooms to choose our table. The geography of the restaurant, made up of several rooms, ensures a calm atmosphere despite the crowds. The dishes are tasty, copious and beautifully prepared, then served quickly by a friendly team who work together in the interest of the customer, the most experienced servers not hesitating to advise beginners with kindness. In summary, a very pleasant experience, which I can only recommend to those who pass through Fontevraud!

17/07/2024: Cadre superbe, accueil très sympa, simple mais très bon, un très bon rapport qualité prix. Je recommande. Avant ou après la visite de l'abbaye de Fontevraud c'est l'idéal.
21/02/2024: Domaine au calme, nous avons déguste un repas autours de la Truffe. Repas très bon, service discret et agréable. Les vins proposés sont de qualité
